Flatbed Trailer

Korlun flatbed trailer loaded with steel rods

The flatbed trailer is built for loads that are too long, too bulky, or too awkwardly shaped for a standard truck bed — steel rods, pipes, structural materials, and other cargo that needs an open, load-from-any-side platform. It's a common choice for construction and industrial customers moving raw materials between sites or from a supplier to a job site. Because the load is exposed, cargo is secured with straps and chains rather than an enclosed box — this makes it the right tool for materials that are too long to fit any box truck regardless of size, like lengths of pipe or structural steel that overhang a standard bed. It's an articulated trailer rather than a rigid truck body, which gives it more bed length to work with than any of our box trucks or flatbed trucks. If your load is bulky but not unusually long — bagged materials, equipment, palletized goods — one of our smaller flatbed trucks (Canter or Dyna) may be a more practical and cost-effective option. Available with a driver for the haul; tell us the exact dimensions of long or oversized items when you book so we can confirm the trailer and securing method.

How it compares

Reach for this over the Canter or Dyna flatbed trucks specifically when your load is unusually long or oversized — for general bulky-but-standard-length materials, the smaller flatbed trucks are often the more practical choice.

Frequently asked questions

How is the flatbed trailer different from the Canter or Dyna flatbed trucks?

It's an articulated trailer with more bed length, built for loads that are too long or oversized for a standard flatbed truck body — like lengths of pipe or steel. For general bulky materials that aren't unusually long, the Canter or Dyna flatbed trucks are often the more practical choice.

How is cargo secured on an open flatbed trailer?

With straps and chains rather than an enclosed box. Tell us the exact dimensions and type of your load when you book so we can confirm the right securing method.
